Course Description

A Surgical Nurse, also known as a Perioperative or Operating Room nurse, is a Registered Nurse with specialized training for assisting in surgeries. They manage patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, from life-saving operations to elective surgeries. Surgical Nurses prepare patients, address their concerns, and coordinate with the surgical team. They are responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care, as well as providing direct bedside nursing care to both pre- and post-operative patients.
